Ellis County is finally building a new animal shelter in the northern part of the county to take the pressure off our overcrowded facilities. It’s a much-needed upgrade that will help get more pets off the streets and into safe spaces.
The county is hiring consultants to create a drainage master plan for the South Prong Creek area. This will help prevent future flooding as more subdivisions are built.
